我看到 Recruit 及CG World, HKMA 也有電腦動畫課程,似乎很抵玩。好像8月底截止報名。

hi, let me summarize some of my findings collected from the web and brochure. anybody got any other information

CityU Scope (Continuing Education)

學費 $22,000
年期 Full-time 12 weeks
Part-time 24 weeks
頒發 Continuing Education Certificate in 3D Computer Animation Modeling
軟件 Maya, Mirai, Shake
優點 -relatively cheap
-nice equipment
-fast track programme (6 months)
缺點 -pure software training only with no foundation of animation principles or art design; no video editing or film studies
-software are not generally used in HK, i.e. no market and no job opportunities
-too intensive (Full-time: 5 days a week, 36 hours a week)
(Part-time: 3 days a week, 14 hours a week)
-certificate only; not even a diploma

HK arts centre

學費 $88,000
年期 Full-time 2 years
Part-time 3 years
頒發 Higher Diploma in Media Arts (Computer Animation)
軟件 Maya, AE
優點 -not only software training;
-convenient
缺點 -too expensive (I can finish a degree/master already);
-drag too long (3 years);
-nonsense subjects like studying English and Chinese
-always change teachers (??)
-bad adminstration (lost assignment????)

IVE (Tsing Yi) I don't have any info about Shatin one

學費 ~$70,000
年期 Full-time 3 years
No part-time
頒發 Higher Diploma in Multimedia Web Development and Digital Entertainment
Higher Diploma in Multimedia and Internet Applications
優點 -Government and accreditated
-not only software training
缺點 -Taught by academic staff
-drag too long (3 years);
-too far away (Tsing Yi)
-hard to get in??

學費 $38,000
年期 Full-time 1 year (9 months)
Part-time 1 year
頒發 Professional Diploma in Computer Animation
Professional Diploma in Multimedia Design
軟件 Maya, AE, Premiere
優點 -price more affordable and reasonable
-not only software training (seems to have acting, scriptwriting, etc as what I found out in the brochure)
-fast track programme
-taught by industry people??
-chance to do industry projects??
缺點 -too short
-too new (new programme using Maya??)
