Ichen, if U are going to technical side, the most U can go is probably Techinical Diector. Managing sytem, searching any new useful tools for animation, coding plugins, etc... U still need artist mind and animation experience to do the job well, but concept is more imprtant than handon exprience.

In big company, programme people is totally seperate from animators, their work will never blend together. So choose the right path then put all your efforts to do it at the best.
