Has anyone try to apply jobs outside HK like Vancouver?

Whenever I view this forum, I always see people complaning about the bad situation of CG industry in Hong Kong but has anyone try to apply jobs outside HK then? To me, my ideal work place would be Mainframe Entertainment in Vancouver , the company that produced Reboot and is currently producing a CG Spiderman cartoon. The main reason why I want to work there is the fact that the company is close to my home and is one of the rare company that mainly used Softimage XSI, a software I only know how to use. Of course, there are also other companies such as EA Sports and Blizzard Entertainment in North America. Rather than being unemployed in Hong Kong, you should apply one of these companies. They do employ people from oversea. If anyone does work outside Hong Kong, tell us about you experience.
