SOFA Studio is looking for a Draftsman to join our team for the new animated feature film.
As a Draftsman, the successful applicant would be responsible for:
Creating blueprint and turnaround drawings off Ruff Environment/Prop designs for 3D Modelers to use in the build process

Essential Job Functions:
• Collaborating with other members of the Design team to ensure conformity of the designs to the film’s overall style
• Reporting directly to an Environment Designer and updating work progress on a daily basis
• Ability to produce designs quickly and efficiently
• Ability to meet daily & weekly deadlines
• Self-managing — organized with good time management. Must be able to identify and meet goals

REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years of related experience
• Excellent drawing ability & demonstrates a superior understanding of the transition from 2D to 3D space
• Previous experience in blueprint/turnaround drawings for 3D modeling a plus
• Great communication skills a must
• Strong understanding and experience of the film production process; with an understanding of the 3D build process is a plus
• Ability to work well under stress and to be creative with limited assistance
• Experience with Photoshop is necessary.
• Able to work both collaborative and independently.
