Senior Industrial Designer (Consumer Electronics)

WowWee, an Optimal Group Company is a market leader in toys, personal robotics and consumer electronics entertainment products. We are looking for candidates to apply for the position of Senior Industrial Designer (Consumer Electronics).
Responsibilities
． Perform product research; generate new product ideas
． Independently manage design projects from creation to realisation
． Work closely with Engineering, Project Managers and factories to overcome mechanical and production issues
． Work closely with Marketing and Sales to prepare graphic promotion materials; provide graphic product presentation materials
． Apply suitable aesthetics, user interface, mechanics, and ergonomics to designs
． Occasional factory visits to China
Requirements
． Diploma/degree in Industrial/Product Design or related disciplines
． Min. 5 years experience in consumer electronics/ electrical/ mechanical product design, with at least 2 years focus on high-end consumer electronics
． Broad knowledge of mechanical and structural design; knowledge of manufacturing and production materials an advantage
． Proficient in using 3D & 2D software (Rhino and/or Solidworks, Adobe CS etc), MS Office; Chinese Word processing also preferred
． Experience in product artwork, packaging and graphic design
． Excellent hand-sketching and visualization skills, with attention to detail
． Experience working with factories; production follow-up
． Good written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin desirable
． Well-organised; proactive — able to work independently and as part of a team
