Industrial Designer (Toys & Consumer Electronics)
Looking for talented designers experienced in the toy industry to enhance our diverse, cross-functional team. The designer must be exceptionally creative to design and develop new products while researching and defining new product opportunities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively and support other team members to ensure design intent and integrity is maintained through all stages of product development.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years work experience focus on toys industry, candidates with less experience will be considered as Junior Industrial Designer
• Diploma holder or above in Industrial Design or related disciplines
• Strong sketching skills
• Knowledge of mechanical design, structural design, manufacturing and production materials
• Proficiency using 3D software (Rhino or Solidworks preferred)
• Proficiency using Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Self-motivated with a high level of responsibility and professionalism
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively and efficiently as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Occasional factory visits to China and ability to manage production follow-up

Responsibilities:
• Perform product research
• Generate new product ideas from scratch or based on idea briefs
• Develop interesting toys from concept to production and provide product presentations
• Responsible for building 3D models to visualize design concepts and able to follow up with explanations for engineers
• Produce rough prototypes to test ergonomics or simple mechanical features
• Work closely with engineers and project managers on mechanical and production issues
• Work closely with marketing department to
• Apply suitable aesthetics, user interface, mechanics, ergonomics, colors, graphics and materials to designs
• Report to design manager for daily design progress
