SOFA Studio is seeking a Character TD to join our team for the new animated feature film.

Essential Job Functions:
●Responsible for evaluating, planning rigging works. Ensure the works are finished on time and within budget.
●Reports work plan to Production and Modeling Supervisors and updates work progress on a regular basis
●Implements animation control rig systems for complex characters using Maya, has a strong sense for body/facial rigging and oversees the characters/props rigging throughout the animation pipeline.
●Responsible for character related physics simulation riggings, such as hair, cloth, and muscle.
●Able to develop tools and plug-ins to optimize rigging workflow, and provide technical specification, naming convention, construction, modification and maintenance of all 3D character rigs.
●Self-managing — organized with good time management. Must be able to identify and meet goals

REQUIREMENTS:
●3+ years of related experience and experience in rigging or supervising for Animated Feature Films or Animation TV series
●Full knowledge of Maya
●Knowledge of anatomy and modeling skills
●Knowledge of character and facial rigging techniques
●Knowledge of physics simulation in animation production
●A detailed understanding of 3D pre-production pipeline
●Good programming and scripting skills in languages such as C/C++, Mel and Python
●Knowledge of computer graphic and related mathematics especially in geometry processing
●Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
●Able to work both collaborative and independently.
