We are seeking people that are visionary and want to be part of a team that use exciting new technologies to unleash imagination and creativity.

We are looking for a 3D Character Artist to join our talented team of technologists and creatives. You will produce high-quality characters but also other elements such as environments, props and objects. The person we are looking for is autonomous and resourceful, with a meticulous eye for detail, and can easily adapt to various styles.

Responsibilities:
- Sculpt and model compelling 3D characters, according to art direction;
- Create additional character assets such as hair and accessories;
- Create convincing materials, reflecting the art direction of the project;
- Create concept art of characters, assets and environments;
- Research reference materials for the aesthetics of the character(s);
- Ensure that digitals assets meet standards and specifications with respect to aesthetics and optimisation;
- Assisting in problem solving, suggesting best practices and seeking out new software, technologies and resources that will aid effective workflows;
- Have good design instincts, resourcefulness, and drive to solve design issues on multiple scales;
- Keep up to date with modern processes in the character art pipeline;
- Work in a collaborative spirit both within the team and with other departments;
- Manage own time and work efficiently within production deadlines.

Qualifications:
- Experience as a Character Artist in games, using a real-time authoring toolset (ex: Unreal, Unity, etc) and Maya, ZBrush, and Substance (or equivalent packages);
- Portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of both technical and artistic execution of Character Art;
- Excellent sense of human anatomy, shape, proportions, silhouette, anatomy, lighting, colour and volume;
- Ability to work from reference materials such as photography or concept art;
- Strong eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating photo-real shaders and materials;
- Understanding of PBR texture authoring as it relates to human skin, hair, eyes, and teeth;
- Be highly self-motivated, proactive and work well within a collaborative team environment;
- Good communication skills, ability to work with multiple departments on all their needs and constraints.

Nice to have:
- Traditional drawing and sculpting skills.
