2 Project Assistant for MERECL, PolyU

The appointees will assist the project leader in the project "Cross Platform Development For PC, Portable, Console, and Online Games"

Post (1) The appointee will be responsible for the development of distributed system framework (inter-process communication, object migration, deployment, etc.) and distributed game world repository.

Post (2) The appointees will be responsible for software framework development (game logic, presentation, test framework, etc) and tools development (collaborative tool framework, 3D world editor, GUI editor, asset management tool, etc.)

Appointment period: Each for 12 months initially, with possibility of further appointment.

Qualification
Applicants should have a good honors degree in Computer Science or related fields and strong experience in C++ and cross-platform development. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Post (1): the applicants should specialize in one or several of the following areas: distributed systems development, multi-thread programming, QoS control, load balancing, protocol design, medial streaming, transaction processing, and Win32/Linux network programming. Background experience in online computer game development is a plus.

Post (2) the applicants should specialize in one or several of the following areas: real-time 3D graphics, human computer interaction, collaborative software, graphical user interface design, distributed system, software testing. Background experience in game development is a plus.

Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
