If you're going for particles...me think that CPU is the most important part because it dynamics eats up whatever CPU power you give it, second, you need a lot of ram because you need a lot of memory space when you cache the dynamics/particles...get a motherboard with maximum ram support and fill it up...hmmm....maybe 2Gb?

yes, ram is more important than CPU actually. get as much ram as possible.
