Help! Mac Purchase in Hong Kong

Does anyone know if any Apple reseller in HK offer discount (not education) for computer purchase? I know it is common that resellers have to advertise official price in the internet. In the US, certain large resellers do offer close out model discount or new model rebate discount. Sometime it can be as much as 15% to 20% off MSRP. I'm wondering if there is something similar in HK.

Also, will cash or credit card makes a significant different?

香港的reseller 都有得講下價, 但都系港幣幾百元左右.俾cash 當然有好d offer.
而有d 舊 model 都有 discount 優惠.

Yes, you can bargain with the reseller but normally you can only get few percents off the retail price, but keep in mind that you don't have to pay sales tax in HK so it ended up giving you around the same price as some US resellers.

It used to be no sales tax applied if the company you buy stuffs from doesn't not have a physical store in the state you are living in. For example, that reseller I mentioned about is in California and I live in New York so I did not have to pay a dollar of sales tax at all. It was a loophole but the government targeted a lot of companies like this and totally closed the loophole since June this year. It really sucks. I just bought 2 new computers and it cost me over US$350 just on tax

Yeah, I understand that as I lived in NY for years... That's why I bought it up when you mentioned big resellers.

It all started from Amazon.com when the NY state government mandated e-commerce businesses to start collecting sales tax. Since then, no more tax free online purchase from most of the vendors.
