Does anyone use Cinema 4D ? It's a pretty good softwave

If anyone want to see how good Cinema 4D is, check out
the animation " Pump Action " on the first page of the CG clips in this website. This animation including the sound effects was all done by this softwave and I think Cinema 4D is much better than other 3D softwaves like Lightwave and 3D Studio Max. It was used in many films such as Gladiator, Mummy Returns , Tomb Raider and etc .....

C4D is good in rendering, esp in GI and animation, but fair in modelling, good in compatibility with C4D paint!

Pump Action is one of the best animated short films I have seen in my life. Your recommenation is great. Although this is the first time I heard of Cinema 4D, I can tell by the effects produced in Pump Action that this softwave is as good as the others.

Neo, where did you get the info about C4D has been used in Gladiator, Mummy Returns and Tomb Raider? I never heard of that before.

I've using C4d intensively these couple months on Mac. My impression is the renderer is the best within all the commerical packages. The cons are very bad animation and modelling tools. I did all my modelling in Maya, then moved to C4d for rendering.

As much as I know, C4d only used for creating matte painting elements and pre-visualizing effects in Gladiator. In The Mummy Returns, it only used to create the opening titles.
