PROJECTS
--------
Feeding the Birds (3D short film)
* Designed, modeled, textured, lit and animated a 3D character short film using Alias Maya.
* Featured cloth dynamics, hair dynamics/rendering, and ambient occlusion using Mental Ray.
* Composited visual effects in Discreet Combustion.
POINT-BASED RENDERING SYSTEM (Interactive rendering system)
* Researched and implemented GPU accelerated point-based rendering system.
* Featured real-time global illumination using GPU vertex and fragment shaders.
* Integrated algorithms such as Q-Splat, point-and-edge clipping, and BSP tree acceleration.
CLOTHSIM (Cloth simulation system)
* Implemented a mass-spring particle system to simulate cloth animation.
* Featured accurate and robust cloth/cloth and cloth/object collision detection and response.
* Programmed explicit and implicit ODE solvers, and constrained dynamics.
PHYSICALLY BASED RENDERER (Global illumination renderer)
* Implemented a Monte-Carlo ray tracer that simulates global illumination.
* Featured optimization such as a KD-tree, importance sampling, and anti-aliasing.
* Integrated EWA texture filter, bump map, and ray differential algorithms.
MACLEOD RAIDER (3D game)
* Designed and modeled 3D characters and animation using Discreet 3ds max.
* Programmed and developed 3D graphics engine in C/C++ with OpenGL.
* Created a real-time 3D game with sound effects, joysticks and scripting with Plib.
