I am sorry, I don't speak or read Chinese, but I wanted to say "hello!"

Our book, "MEL Scripting for Maya Animators," is different from David Gould's book in that we talk more about actual animation applications while David's book talks more about tool and plug-in development. David's book is directed at more advanced programmers.

The two books, both from Morgan Kaufmann, are intended to be complementary to each other, but I hope that those differences can help you pick which one makes more sense for your situation if it is difficult to get both.

Gould's book is for experienced programmers. "MEL Scripting for Maya Animators" is better for people who are just starting to program or who can program well but are new to Maya.

I borrowed the book from our City U library. It is a good entrance to MEL and is going to buy it. (Still "evaluating" because of high price)

Would you explain how you aware this site if you can't read Chinese. Please spend more time in this web site to resolve our MEL problems.
