The step to get the Outline :
1) Create a NURBS Sphere in the new scene.
Set the render camera blackground color to white (easy to c the result).
2) Open the Multilister, choose Edit > Create ;
Then create: 1 SurfaceShader ( surfaceShader1SG );
1 SampleInfo ( sampleInfo1 ); and
1 Condition. ( condition1 ).
3) Asign the "SurfaceShader1SG" to the Sphere;
4) In the Multilister, choose Window > Connection Editor;
You will see a Connection Editor window are opened .
( Don't close the Multilister window yet. )
5) Drag (MM Drag) condition1 (Multilister) into the Outputs (Connection Editor); and
drag surfaceShader1 (not surfaceShaderSG1) into the Inputs.
6) Highlight: Outputs > condition1 > Out Color; And
Inputs > surfaceShader1 > OutColor.
Then Clear All.
7) Drag (MM Drag) sampleInfo1 (Multilister) into the Outputs (Connection Editor); and
drag condition1 into the Inputs.
Highlight: Outputs > sampleInfo1 > Facing Ratio; And
Inputs > condition1 > First Term.
Then Clear All.
9) Double Click the condition1 icon (Multilister),
U will see a Allribute Editor of the condition1 was displayed.
10) Set "Second Term" to "0.4" (Outline thickness),
"Operation" to "Less Than",
( After the render, try to fill in the color 1&2 with different number.)
11) Render to get the result.
