我而家廿八啦,會唔會而家先學產品設計會好遲呢?
我地三十過後會唔會找唔到工作呢?因為設計行業好多都系三十過後好難搵工...唉
I'm now working in the field of Audio Products.
I just use Rhinocero, Flamingo, Penguin and Maxwell(it depends) during the PD. The mech. CAD drawing will be done by the mainland engineers who uses Pro-E.
I used to use Solidworks with Rhino and 3DSMax, which performs efficiently to build CAD models and design rendering, but as my current company didn't like to invest too much on design software, so I picked up Rhino series.
One would never be too late to step into the world of PD, age is not a problem. But the mindset and hard-working made the difference.
Product Designers need to design not only the aesthetic, but to consider the manufacturing process and difficulties, as well as costing, packing, safety, marketing, ergonomics etc.....
Frankly speaking, I cannot be very optimistic about PD in HK, as TOO many officers treat PD as drafting/simple drawing that stretch lines and filling colors.
What's more important
PD are commonly low-paid when compared to some other design field, be prepared for that.
