Already using XSI for production

I wonder if any of you are actually using XSI either v2.0 or 3.0 for production ??

XSI seems not so welcomed by HK animators comparing with Maya??

I would like to work in a production house. The project that i am working on alone with my friends, is actually a short movie. However, we are not going to make money from it. We sent it to Softimage to put it on their demo.

In the New XSI3 event seminar. Softimage persenter show their updated Softimage demo, showing all their clients's work which is using XSI or SI3D to produce. Including Onimusha 2, Dynasty worriers. Suprisingly, they did put 0.3 sec of our reel onto their demo. Altho is onlly 0.3 sec, but we all impress and happy.

XSI seems not so welcome by HK animators? i dont' think it s only HK, is all around the world.

I think i've mention it b4 that couple months ago (maybe is in another forum, i don't quite remember). Is that Softimage marketing department sucks. They never follow up with their clients. The support of the clients just bad. Our college, ordered 1.5 years ago, we 'd paid already, but they just never send the right amount of copies for all of our computers. What we end up is installed only 1 XSI on 1 big computer with lisence. And all other client computers have to lock on to the host computer to retreive the license server inorder to activate Soft.

Our Adminstrator keep up the phone call almost everyday to blame and ask them to send us all the copies that we have paid. But until today, we don't get it.

My adminstrator so pissed off that almost wants to give up on Soft saying that we are not going to get soft for the next semester. (but somehow we continue to use it. since maybe he is a soft fan, and we some out solve the problem)

guess this really a bad news for all Soft fans cause if Soft's sales person don't take their job seriously, we're giving it up and eventually we would all shifted to another software ...

btw, i still stick with Soft though have an intention to migrate to MAX after seeing it's latest v5 demo ...

in HK, i really don't know anyone who is already using XSI and hope i could stick with it ... BUT honestly, i find XSI very hard to learn by myself and i do need somebody to share with me their experience

????? are you kidding? XSI is hard to learn? how about Max, i find out max is so gay that i will never able to know everysingle function on it. They don't visualize their functions. All of them are just words.

The stupid roll outs menu.... bahhhh, i just hate that stupid roll outs.

If you really spend some time on tutorials and menu, XSI is very easy to work with. And here, we are all helping you with different kinds of quesion.
