Actually I just give my suggestion to Chun 401 base on my experiences and there is nothing wrong to give comment in this forum . Moreover everyone has their own goal after they obtained the degree at the end of the day .
holding Degree or higher level degree does serve serval advantages ; like you said it helps us to explore the area outside Hong Kong and helps to get a job . However dont forget that other qualification that has similar level as ' Degree' and it also serve the same purpose . if someone want to work in Uk for example he can get a random degree course in achieve the visa .
I accept some other members feedback in this forum but you have to understand that everyone has their own perspective view in sharing their experiences
Once again, I do not mean to be blunt nor hurtful, however, Your point of discussion is slightly distorted. From your prior post you stated that this is no such a thing as "wonderful" university. All I was trying to amend the fact that there are great institutions that teaches and train you into a specialist in the field of animation. Although further in my writing I may have suggested that degree is quite important, but I was trying to relate to how a degree can fulfill the legal requirement of work visa in foreign countries.
Myself has been hired in two foreign countries, although neither is in UK. It was quite clearly written that in order to be a successful candidate of a work visa, the candidate must hold a degree. The degree needs to be related to your prospective job offer. Perhaps UK is a little different, as you have clearly stated that having a "random" degree will fulfill the requirement.
I'm not going into a heated debate whether you are right or wrong in your perception of the usefulness of a degree. You can share your experience and thoughts as you wish, I'm just making an obvious point that some of your given advise to the original poster is bias and perhaps it going to affect his future judgement.
