我系系IVE讀Multimedia既Higher Diploma既 ...
以我所知好似冇一科系專講cg animtion既wor ...
不過我哩科都會touch到3ds既 ...
大家可以參考下哩幾科 ...

I absolutely 100% agree on your point. Fantastic. You are the guy who flies to the states to study a graduate degree right? Very cool.

But I do not think the young guys could understand what you meant. Because they have not been there yet. Hope your recommendation can give them more insight on a better path.

其實大家系咪真系好清楚IVE(KT)個course "Digital Media"有d咩讀同讀d咩嫁?!
小的不才, 正正是該科第一屆畢業生
不如大家真真正正咁查下, 就會發現佢個course一d都唔簡單!!!
就當中既設備而言, 就已經系香港數一數二啦!!!
人地個mocap, motion conrtol同hd都唔少野啦, 有一定既投資,
引入外國強大既軟件, 唔會再只系往往留連於人家外國10年前既技術教授!!!!!!
而且為左更強大既發展, 出年會有 "hd in digital animation and cartoon character design"既誕生,
課程內每個軟件項目都會針對3D而設計, 最緊要仲系有個資心導師丫!!!

唔知就問下人啦!!!!!!!!!! 如果唔系親身讀過既人, 就請唔好亂吹水啦!!!!!
人地今年畢業生入menfond同先濤既都有呀!!!!!!! :evil:

IVE CG course are just the waste of time.

U have to study it for 3 years to complete the course! And they teach many things that is not so important to 3D, look at their course detail before U join them.

HKMA has a 1 year 3D course, it's not bad.
And now the best HK 3D course I think is the HKPC one, it only half year and they teach U many useful things.

在下現就讀IVE HD Digital Media,
今年year 3了,
我不認為用三年時間讀這個course是浪費時間。

media這一行不是只有3D的, 為什麼這個course要你學video,
學畫畫, 學design, 學web, 學audio?
我可以說這全部對學生學習3D有幫助,
不要看以為沒什麼大不了, 這些東西是互相影響,
產生著微妙的關系的,
只想學習3D的知識而不學其他東西,
你所得到的東西只會很少。

最重要的是, 這三年是用來讓你想清楚自己的興趣和去向,
在這個course的同學不會所有人也喜歡3D的,
事實上讀了這個course你會發現自己對某些科目不大興趣亦沒才能,
因為這個course以video, 3D和web做主流,
如果入讀前已知道自己對media某一方面有興趣,
你始於會在這裡找到自己要走的路。
不是賣花贊花香, 無論你向那一方面發展,
這裡的設備也是很充足, 這裡的導師也肯樂意幫你,
只要你是肯學和肯發問。

請謹記, 別限死自己的學習領域。

hm...just according to the "upper floor",...sounds like the ive course is more about multimedia (design, web, some 3D, video, sound...)than what nowadays cg is usually being refered to. (digital creatures, effects, rendering techniques..,etc...)

是的, 這個course是multimedia 的course 來的,
如你所說, 沒錯cg所涉及的東西實在很多,
就算在這裡所學的某些科目跟本對"制作cg"沒任何幫助,
(如這個course有一些科目只和media business有關的,
為什麼有這些科, 大家應該不難想到原因的^^)
但我覺得. 只要是有一點點的關聯,
也可以嘗試接觸一下的。
我認為這類multimedia course的課程
某程度上是有一個最低限度去了解的必要的。
我想, 學多一點東西總不是壞事吧? ^^
不是要任何東西也要精,
因為你在這裡只會找一兩樣東西學好它。

Look at the Menfond course, it is absolutly an ass-kicking course, and it only need half-a-year to finish it. Think about it :-?

IVE each department have a waste time fxcking subject !!!

e.g
1 IT department (java c++ ......)
A subject is tech soecity (waste time)

2 EE department
A subject is english useful (waste time)

3 media
media business (waste time)

what a fuxking business, I need to learn more Tech and art ....

not a business , fuxk the IVE waste time subject
