學畫畫, 好多地方都有得學, 你應該自己心目中有些選擇才在這裡問邊間好d。系咪個個畫家都系自學呢？　呢個問題的答案系不能確定，因為點先至算自學冇一個明確介定。如果以有上過畫畫堂就不是自學，冇就系自學，咁就系一些畫家系自學，一些唔系。
我其實系想指出：要得到有用既答案先要識點問問題。
想睇嚇人畫野，可以摷嚇Feng Zhu 同 Neville Page 的dvd 同website。唔知系咪你想學果d呢?

我想知digital painting, not traditional painting. I rarely see this kinds of course, that why I come here to post. No need to judge my questions.

好, Digital Painting, 除咗Feng Zhu, Neville Page, 我再向你提供多一個勁人, 就系Doug Chiang。以我所知，Feng Zhu 同Neville Page 都有教學dvds。Feng Zhu 既未必系Digital, 但系系好型既concept art, Doug Chiang 個website都好似有簡單的教學。
我見冇人答你，我諗系有原因既，我真系好心幫幫你，唔講唔該都唔該你態度好少少！

I thought it is the place for asking some courses at sch rather than online resources. Maybe, I was wrong.

當然不一定, 現時還有一小部份人是跟師父學畫, 例如油畫.

其實本港真系好少有打正"Digital Painting"旗號o既course offer，就算有都真系要睇清楚教你畫畫定教你用software，而外國有好多打正旗號o既Digital painting course，但達到 industrial standard o既就多半系以DVD或網上方式出現。

畫畫本質系畫，而Digital只系畫畫o既另一種方式，另一種medium，如果明白曬traditional painting，咁轉過去Digital方式所要學o既可能只系software部份。Digital Painter又真系好多系自學，因為只系自己去探究software點用，而唔系學繪畫基本理論~~~~如果閣下又識用photoshop又或者painter，已經可以系一位digital painter啦~~~~~

thanks a lot. Digital painting is base on traditional painting. I agree it. Without basic art painting, u always lose ways to color and control the brightness. Today, I know everything about photoshop but doesnt mean I can draw well. I really want to learn it as I know my weakness. I tried to learn from online commuinity but it is boring to read the word on the internet and the steps sometimes jump so much

Actaully, I want to learn tradition and digital painting too. But I want to learn more about drawing and painting concept and technique, instead of just learning how a software works.

are there any school and course that is good for learning?
Because I just finished my study in Australia, I'm going to return to HK. However, I don't know about school and course in HK. : (
