if u don't know much about 3ds max, i suggest you do some things similar.
there are 2 normal methods to do 3D texts in 3dsmax.
1. Spline creation > extrude or bevel
2. Polygon modeling > tubosmooth
in this urgent case, you should use 1st method.
1. use a viewport background as a reference in viewport
2. create a line in viewport
3. edit the shape of line that you want to be.
4. use of Bezier / Bezier corner mode to edit your line (like photoshop)
5. apply a Bevel modifier into that line.
6. adjust the bevel values through 3 levels/layeres
7. set up a simple material for your text.
8. render
