香港CG其實都面對著同一問題 , 週邊地區政府都放水補貼CG製作 . 但香港政府就乜春都做唔倒 ...
有Job都比人搶晒 .. 因而香港電影特技製作亦隨之減少 , 技術因此停滯不前.....

都唔係所有老闆都唔尊重員工既 , 可能係你未遇到好既 ???

其實當你進入呢個行業之前 , 都知道呢行工作時間及景況 ,
要改變呢個情況 , 唔係單靠一個老闆做"好人"就得 ...

致於香港政府當然唔會真接"補貼"任何行業 , 不過作為六大慘業 之一, 政府行前一步 , 相信會幫倒呢個行業

I am still working at R&H. R&H is still running. It laid off ~250 people and still have ~500, and get bankrupt. The laid off people still didn't get their pay back according to US bankruptcy laws. US bankruptcy laws prioritize s current employees paycheck first. Universal and Fox lend us a bridge loan to have us finish their movies, and waiting for buyers/bidders. Not sure about the future once the current movies finish in May.

R&H is actually a very good studio to work for. It is treating its employees fairly and good. And, its working culture is great too, very transparent management. It is very sad and wrong that such a good studio, which wins multiple Oscars (Life of Pi, Golden Compass, and Babe), could go bankrupt. There is something very wrong in the global VFX industry.

have a few friends at the Vancouver branch. Most of them have been laid off last week, one still hanging in there. Warner Bros pulled their shows. The situation seems worse than Digital Domain when they filed for bankruptcy. i would start looking for job if i were you, mate. Best of luck~!

It is Hard time for VFX industry
