It's not mature and it's not looking for really good quality and of course not paying a lot. Animation is an industry. It's all about, demand, system and supply, so how much effort you put into your personal work really won't make much difference. For a company, if they can sell their work in a reasonable price, hardware cost is really nothing. All those big studio in US spend more than 85% of their cost on employee salary.(they understand that they need talent people to make nice work, and it's not cheap), that's a market that's lookig for quality.
Hi,
That's the problem I have with China now, I see alot of skilled/talented individuals but they are getting only like 300 rmb a month. Labors worth crap in China, factory workers get 7 rmb per day. With this many people, they can always find another talented individual.
Another thing I see from personal experience is, Chinese like to lower their price/ production time in order to compete; whereas American compete with their work quality.
Hopefully, all these will change in the coming years.
After all China is supposed to be one of the best market in the near future right?
