a Question.
Does anyone here want to learn lighting in CG ?
G.I is great for those who understand lighting already, not good for new user.
for example.
you have a room
you place a spot light on the ceiling
you let the computer do all the remaining thing.
NOW, you want the bottom of that table a bit darker, you want the corner of that wall a bit lighter, just a specific area. How ?
If you place any additional light to the scene, it affect the WHOLE thing.
G.I is Global, change one thing, it affect all other element.
I strongly suggest any new cg user Learn the old cg lighting first, after you can control the lighint without the help of G.I, you have the freedom to use whatever you want.
p.s don't you think we saw so many VERY similar (boring) render lately ?
