Pls. forgive my stupidness. What the renderman for ? to make the render thing much more better ? It seems that the light which you rendered is so natural. Would you please tell me more .. I am just the beginner

Renderman就是PIXAR公司的渲染器, 世界一流的renderer, 盡管沒有raytracing & Global illumination, (可以通過Exluna公司的BMRT實現, 但現在只支持IRIX & LINUX system), 很多著名電腦動畫電影如最新的:Monster INC, a bug's life, toy story & toy story都是它的作品, 而且如果懂的話, 還可以自己編寫Shader, 不過這方面太深奧了!!! 想了解更多有關內容, 請到我們大陸的論壇查閱, 因那裡的內容多很多而且有很多高手, 如: mayax, 我的主頁的links裡有鏈接, 最後藍色字那幾條, good luck!!!

it must render for a long time because I used the "softshadow", "softshadow" is very great technic, other renderer are difficult to do that, you know? "softshadow" will render a few shadows from different angles and then combine them into one shadow, just you could see, very fantastic effect! maybe the next version of PIXAR's renderman 10 will much faster, go and see!

Because of Renderman was using Micro-Polygon technic, therefore the picutre comes out is very smooth and fine.

BWT, PRman 10 and RAT 5.0 was issued already, looking for that.........

Thanks Jli625 & bk reply, but now I am facing the problem about the rendering the animation, because I installed the Maya 4.0 to window XP at the d:/ because I have the partition with C:/ & D:/, I sucessfully generation the sequent pcitures but when I load one of the pic on Fcheck in order to generate the whole animation clip, I failed & it told me that D:/AW/maya 4.0 is not the internal / external file but it's in chinese ( C:/AW/maya 4.0 不是外部或內部程式 ), ,should i install the Maya at C:/ again ? pls. really your valuable reply.

看看環境變量裡maya的path是否正確, right click "my computer" > 屬性能> 高級 > 環境變量

- I can't find the path you told me so strange but anyway ... I worked it finally I generate the balls free falling animantion. I think that just only the beginner does

Hay Bk... have you ever use the maya fusion 3.0? I think it's for the special effect on the tiff file right ? I bought the pirated one & not able to install, hahahha , maybe that's the problem of buying pirated copies. Now I need you comment , is it good ?

for installation, u can go to: http://www.hxsd.com.cn there are many software setup lesson, and maya fusion OK la! every software is good if it can work for u.
