The entire modelling was carried out in SolidWorks, then export to Max3.0 in .STL format(not the routine IGES format as Max wasn't very good at opening IGES files from other softwares), the memory of the .STL format is crazy but to my surprise, sometimes they took less time for rendering. A few spot light was added and raytrace reflection was assigned to the watch case and bracelet. Raytrace refraction for the crystal. Just routine and normal stuff, then rendered without any GI plug-in or tricks. I rendered this watch about 2 yrs ago to test the performance of my computer. I let it rendered overnight for about 5-6 hrs in 2 x 1.5k resolution. I'll probably re-render it with Final Render in GI environment.
