I use Maya polygon to do my model. Firstly, you keep in mind that what's the proportion you need. For example, I mainly base on the Mickey mouse. But I try to do a bit cyber look. On the top of head, it's for my best best friend! :P

Try smooth the fingers more.
How comes the mouth outline are mapped but not modelled.
Reflection on the eyeball can still be modified.
Try adding more bump texture on the material.

Model is cute ! Well done . Animate characters with this proportion will be a challenge , but it must be funny . Hope to see animation . Don't waste it . :wink:

Eyes are very important to a character. If u want to animate it, not for still. U should make the eyes become life.

eg. the highlight on the iris can be a real specular, not paint on it. May be u need to build the iris separately, cause it's hard to animate the eyes in ur model now.
Siegfried have mentioned the mouth b4. Yup, it's difficult to make different shapes of the mouth with texture. And texture mouth is hard to understand the emotion of the character in many angles.

Try ur best, try to make it life! :D
