no la, the passport i got is same as yours, BNO, that's why i know how difficult to get a work permit, this company have been very nice to me, they have tried very hard to 'fight' the permit for me.

what r u exactly studying in uk? do u want to work on cg?

ok.. i know wat u mean now... yr company is really good 2 u! i can imagine how will it be... well... I am studying BA Animation in uk.. doing 3D animation which means like clay animation n CG as well... u know, it's really annoying tat u hv to think about stay here or going back 2 hk after finish my course... staying here for job hunting may be too risky n expensive... but if going back 2 hk straight away... just feeling gonna miss something...wat a waste... really hard to decide....

is this ur final year? when will ur visa expired?

it is not annoying at all, and it is not risky at all as well, my advice is, dont go back without trying to work here, it has million advantage to get experience in uk b4 u back hk, i suggest u stay here as long as u can, until ur visa expried, and try as hard as u can to get a job, apply as many companies as u can, u wont spend much money within that, the thing is, u will get back more than u lose if u get a job

Your course really got fabulous industry connections! It is really tempting to apply! I am 24 now and maybe I can afford to study one more year....i dont know.... How much is it for the tuition fee for that course?

oh kenny, u r 24 only! so young bor, i think u really should study there, the advantages are

- always better with higher qualification (MA)
- a very good step stone to industry
- study with ppl who have same interest as u
- quite good course
- very good and high quality presentation and talk from top CG companies
- have chance to speak to ppl from industry during studying
- a vvvvvvery long 7 miles beach close to uni
- it is bloody nice place in summer

is it enough points to study there? heheheh

u r EU, so u should pay cheaper than i did, should be around 5,000 pounds, check out there web site

haha, andrew, glad to know that you agreeed 24 is still young to study.
I think I will try to apply for that MA course, seems super cool!
However, though I have an EU passport, i still have to pay international fee....because there is a law by the UK government that I have to stay in UK for at least 3 years (non-educational purpose) to gain a cheaper fee.

wa, of cos 24 is still young to study la, tell u what, when i come to uk to study my 1st year BA, i was 27 ar, even older than u r now in final year ar, and when i was studing MA last year, i was 32 lu, it will never be too old to study, right? hehehe

if u have to pay international fee, it will be around 8,000 pounds, the fee might be increased,

how is the Animation Industry over there?

i'm only 20, studying in Canada, I juz grad from high school last year, and now i'm in first year classical animation. what i think is if you want to be a good charaters animator, no matter on CG or drawing on paper, you should start learning from the basic. And when you get a good basic concept of how charater moves, or how to animate. You will do a lot better than everyone else in Computer Animation

the CG industry is pretty good in uk, quite a lot of big companies over here. I don't know much about Canada. But I believe it is better than uk, isn't it? because all the best people seems looking forward to work there. if iam wrong, please correct me.

well, i think not only Canada, the North America has a pretty big and good industry, lots of big company in here, no matter gaming, movie or tv show. I donno a lot about the US side, but in Canada, Toronto is one of the important place for the animation industry, theres why i'm here now, and other place like BC Vancouver, Montreal are pretty good also, lots of studio and gaming companies around these place.

Liam used to work at ILM for several yrs. but returned to Bournemouth sometimes ago, may not be the uni?!?
