I just got into a Academy of Art College in US, and begin my first semester of studying 3D animation. Is anyone here working in any CG company? How do you think about this field? Seems like CG is not doing very good in HK....

I think the salary is not high if a new guy go in the HK's CG field now.
May be it just have HK$3000~$8000 per m.

有公司登廣告又請"動畫學徒" .....但廣告裡連人工都唔刊出來 ,相信大約只有幾千元月薪....攪到好似漫畫助理咁.....
別一方面,各方學校紛紛攪CG動畫課程 ,收人成皮野一個Course..仲只系教 3d max.....(MAYA免問..)
呢行究竟將?#0124;變成點呢??????????????

呵... 我見過黎咯... 應該系你講o個份卦.
真系得三千月薪(試用期), 之後六千一年... 頭兩個星期當training無人工... 唔易挨呀...
想去讀o個d course但系發現呢份人工根本唔夠交學費, 個工作時間亦都長到唔允扣A去進修... 真無奈...

..............我知有公司一千蚊一個月請trainer, 4個月後(試用期)加到八千蚊............一年內只有公司炒你...........你炒公司就要賠成皮野......................有冇離譜D呀

I'm not sure the salary of "Centre" or "Menfond " those famous ?G companys. But in mine, it around HK$12K or above (some may be go to $20K). But sorry is a Newbie into this field should NOT got this pay. I mean he'll get a
low $$ ($3,000) for a long time. And no guarantee can stay untill get a nice pay of cos.
Some guys work in "Centro" or "Menfond" ...can u post
what a newbie's price now?
