Oh~~ don't feel sad. Although I am a Max user, I feel that Maya is also good, especially the menu (UI) Maya using, quite convenient.

Do u know why they stop teaching Maya, is it because Maya 5 is comming? or they already taught all they know?

小弟個人意見：max感覺較適合右腦型的人用，操作傻瓜化一些；
maya較適合左腦型的人用，知性強。當然用熟了也是觸類旁通的。

I dun know ar, may be they dun have Maya 5? Or may be they have taught Maya for long time already.

在下用開3ds max都覺得控制viewport冇maya咁方便,
下下click右下角d button 黎pan zoom rotate view,
效率冇咁好~

For me, I think Max did copied a lot of features from Maya and LW.

說到底是使用者取向為主(大project如電影除外)，小弟由書中得知，當年Capcom為制作“鬼武者2”的片頭及過場動畫，以人為本，雲集日本全國精英，幾近所有Software用齊，出來的結果有目共睹。當然一些數據轉換上的耽誤是後話。

I think, once U're familiar with the software, then it's nothing bother afterall, using various software in one company may be benefit for the CGers as the can fully utilize the software when necessary, but managing the file of compatability is a big problem.
The same situation occured in many Product Design department, sbd prefer Corel Draw, sbd prefer AI, sbd prefer Photoshop, sbd prefer 3D......U can't or don't know how to edit my file, vice versa.--------Trouble sometimes when that operator was absent.

今期PC Station出左喇，真系開始教Max。一向也是星期二出版的，但星期一就有得賣，$10蚊本，又有好多電腦知識添！
但因為唔再教Maya，所以我唔會買loo.

should be same time.... if u use Microsoft intellimouse of logitech wheel mouse, u can use the wheel to zoom in/out, which can be faster than Maya.

Just depends which software u are familiar with.
