The character "Scrat" got the best animation in this movie !! And his facial setting is very very good.

Yeah, that's quite cool, but I think that the storyline is a bit weak. That is easy to get fun during watching the movie; however, it's also easy to get out of my memory after playing the movie. Comparing Ice Age and Shrek or Monsters Inc, in my opinion, S/MI have much stronger story concept than IA.

Comparing with shrek and Monstor INC. "Fox" gets a different style of animation. They present the fastly speed motion in animals, get a really good details animations, more details of the iris movement... The style seems like a "Warner Brother" cartoon. More Fun !If you like WB cartoon. You need to take a look ! Regreted that I don't know why the human action is so poor.....

Ice Age is not a "Fox" style, it's "Blue Sky Studios" style.
They have a programme call "CGI Studio". It is a great renderer for raytracing & light simulation.
So u can see the amazing ice shader in this film. The water's reflection, refraction & lighting also can simulate a natural environment.
