I agree with the others say, the animation could add a bit more big movement. However, usually i break it down in different category when i critique: Storyboard(camera), modeling, texture, lighting, animations, character design.
Storyboard: Very good storyboard(camera) planning. As a audience, I know where am i, and i don't confuse with the character's position. Smooth story telling with short but interesting story. (7/10)
modeling: With all the model that you built, I can tell that you are able to built 100% what you want in your character sheet. (sounds funny? but there has a lot of ppl really can't build what they want. Their finally model could be no way near what they was planning at the beginning). There has not much you can show with your modeling skills with your character. However, it shows that you have the knowledge of building models. (7/10)
Texturing: this is quite impress me with your texturing skills. I can tell that you put time on your texture. Although it is not detail enough, but the colors and th durt are pretty good done. (8/10)
Lighting: The most impressive part is the light. I see highlight of the character. with those you don't want the audience to focus, you darken the area. Also, the color of the light. Hum.. I don't know how to put into words. But just good, impressive. you successfully making the characters (and the enviornment) got rid of the CG look. (9/10)
Animation: i agree with the others. (8/10)
Character design: This is a personal style. I don't have any suggestions. My personally don't like characters that has sharp nose. big hands, big feet. However, some westen ppl like this kind of style. (6/10)
Overall, i 'll give 7.5/10 to you. For myself. I only give 6/10. Of cuz, i won't compare our demo to those professional's. I base on what students can normally do.
I am pretty sure you can get hired with this reel.
