用email去應征工作?

請問用email去應征3DCG Artist工作,是否要post自己的result會好些,但不是用email去應征後,他們叫去面試才給他們看自己的result嗎?

At least you need to arouse their curiosity to you, b'cas the bosses don't have much time in guessing your ability

因為現在市道唔好 , 較大的CG/3D/動畫制作公司 不是收緊開支就是裁員 .
你可先去信問問有沒有空缺吧 . 正常來說,應不多空缺, 要看你的運氣 .
如果你有3D/動畫工作經驗當然比較有著數 , 嘗試去找中小型的公司 (如post-production 或 廣告公司).
如果你是冇經驗, 便要更努力做好Showreel...才去見工 , 或這選一些 CG學徒的工作 .

Speaking of 3DCG Artist, in which field U want to join, 3D product designer, 3D interior designer, animation clips or what, the need for the first and second posts seems still hot in the market, but animator....just wait longer!

and normal-life observation are very vital!

如要應征，必須先准備你的ShowWheel，而且如果你應征的是Production House，最好在你的ShowWheel內盡量表達不同的Style和技巧。因為Production House唔會單巧慮你的工作靚唔靚，當然要靚啦，還有巧慮你能否應付不同種類的工作。

有時o個間公司無空缺，你都可以寄上你的ShowWheel，他們大多會備案的，如你的ShowWheel出色，大多數會獲接見，即使沒有空缺。給他們留下印象，說不定會有Freeland Job.

to be fair, not every company pay "poor-pissed" salary.

our company hire animator starting at 8k to 9k (junior), I know many other pay the same too.

sometime one or two company paying poor salary give a bad impression to the whole cg community

Speaking of salary, 8k to 9k for CG junior, but what about Senior and how long does it normally take to get that level of paid? I think the salary is still much lower than other industries, so the faith to CG and a rich family are the pillars to support your CG dream

how much you expect to pay for a Junior? no experience, fresh graduate from school ?

today even a university graduated student got the same.

Regarding Senior Animator, It's really depends on your talent. If you are very good, 2 to 3 years can get you a Senior Title, but we have some animator worked over 5 years and they are still "Animator"

Also, beside talent, you have to be a all rounded person and can communication with other people very well, as a senior need to lead and teach other animator and communicate with producer, director....etc

Salary for a Senior should be range from 20k to 40k, it's really depends on talent and performance.

After Senior, you may then promoted to Team Leader, Animation Supervisor......etc.

please note that the above statement is base on my observation and experience, other company may be different.

what you mean by "fresh animator"

I already said a "Junior animator" will be around 8k.

Junior mean Fresh Graduate and no experience.

In CG field, your talent really determine your salary.

there are one or two company paying 1000 or 3000 for junior animator, but not all, we all know 1000 or 3000 is way below standard.they just don't respect people and they will never have good talent stay with them.

that company's boss has come to our school have a talk ..
he is so inch and he showed one of his company works..
the animation " Robxxxx" ....... it is really look like USA style .....the whole story, even the design....... it is good looking ...at least I cant do it by myself ~
But he seems 睇唔起人 .... said Junior dont expect good salary , coz u dont have any exp and such things and we need to teach u etc etc ......" have pay already is 賺了， 其實比錢來我地到學，都抵"！！

相信這就是7.2%unemployment rate的後果
因為他們會想既然戶口的數字不能增值
就在知識上增值吧, 這是唯一的希望
加上又是自己的興趣,
雖然是受著很不公平的對待, 仍然繼續安慰著自己去做

當然,我相信他們大部份都無"根底"
