only a few people can do everything good. Texture artist usually can do great painting. Special effect guy do camera match move, dynamic stuff .....

I also give you the info about working in US

Foreigner who want to work in US will need the H-1B work permit. but the application process is a bit longer.

once they have the H-1B, they can apply for greencard

US company will usually help you to get the H-1B

it has 3 years of time limit and you can renew it for another 3 years.

so 6 years in total. if you still don't have the greencard within 6 years, you have to leave the country. You can reapply H-1B after leaving the country 1 year later.

it's not hard to work in US as long as a company hire you.
as I told u b4. a working visa may need at least 6 months to process but US company will look after that. They never have a problem for someone they need.

Let me put my 2 cents on the topic if it's not too late. Timmy is right about the H1 visa in US. You can get one year of pactical training which allows you work for any company after you finished a degree with a US college/university. During the 1 year period, you can apply for h1 visa if you found a company which is willing to sponsor you. Each H1 term has a limit up to 3 years. You can change company but you have to change the visa as well (pain in the ass). After the 1st H1 term, you can renew your visa for up to 3 years. In the total 6 years period, you can ask your company to sponsor you a greencard. But bear in mind that, it can take up to 3-4 years before you get it. And if your company say "no" then you're screwd.

actually Sheridan College, located in Canada. is a pretty good choice~ i graduated there last year, in the classical animation program. the teachers are all world famous. so u will learn alot if u ask. and this school have relationship with so many studio and companies, in the end of school year, some studio will come visit and hire some students ( such as pixar and dream works, EA..etc.). so this provide a great chance to ATLEAST meet the industary people. and for the visa problem. i think u can work for 2 years under visa after graduate. i'm not sure about this, but some of my visa friends also get hired...u should ask b4 u go there.

the living in canada is much cheapper than USA. and there are some Chinese mall and lots of chinese resturant near by too.

one thing is u really need to speak well English, atleast u need to be good at listening.

for the requiment of this school, they will need your porfolio. and u must graduate from high school.

for the computer animation program, u need to graduated from University or College. (degree or diploma)

and ..ya, dun be afraid to send your work to those companies.~
even u're not applying, u can still send your portfolio or demo reel or web site to them. just keep bugging them. u may ask their opinion about your work too
