If there's an antidote to that confection-covered piece of turd called EP3, it's this! Definitely the coolest flick ever made with just three primary colors and two value tones. The film is a technical tour-de-force (the backdrops are all virtual sets), but thankfully Miller and Rodriguez didn't get sidetracked by the technical parts of movie-making. All the codes of film noir are there, right down to the ambivalent pathos. The Mickey Rourke first act was the coolest. The casting for the whole film was just wicked. The only gripe I have is the flabby Clive Owen second act, but even that has a cool-to-chill shot of half-nakid babes perched on rooftops gunning down an alley full of thugs.
