我應唔應該學3D??以3D為終生Career?

我未學過3D , 還沒有接觸過 , 但我有心想學 , 應該唔系 3分鍾熱度....
我好想寫一個屬於自己的游戲 . 也想設計一些可愛的角色 , Cartoon 也有興趣 , (我系屬於好努力果d人.... 所以有幾難學, 幾WorkHard我都唔怕)
唔該大家解答我幾個難題??? thanks
1:3D系香港有無前途? 我念應該無咩... 又唔系rare...
2:我唔想讀 4 年果d IVE 課程 , 太長 ... 有無人可以recommmend 課程俾我 , 最好系 2-3 Years ... thanks
3:香港的3d designer 太數都d什麼類型的工作.... Caroon ? Movies? Websites?
4:你地讀咩課程出路 ?? 有什麼不好的工作經驗可以分享??

what make you think 4 years of study is too long? In fact 4 years is not quite enough if you don't have much experience about it.

There is no short cut. Spend a few good years on it, and have fun.
if you have some talent and you like this industry. You will finally be pay off. (don't follow the big trend, I mean stay at what you want to do, that's how we can enjoy your life)

Personally I went to cityU SCOPE 3 years ago, and then went to US. Both of the school was kind of cool though.

I think it's better to learn art/design before you jump into the 3d world. There's a lot of technical issues in 3d that will it hard to focus on what you want to create/do. Go got some drawing or design classes, make sure you feel good about your creativity and art sense, then you can decide if you want to do 3d or not. Remember, 3d is just another art/creative medium just like drawing or sculpture, it's not the destination of art.

First off, that will never happen.


Couple things that you have to ask yourself

1. CG industry will give you alot of frustrations, will you able to take them?

2. Do you consider of relocation? If you are just thinking of hanging out in HK, that will never get you a job.

3. Considering relocation "all the time". Since most of us are in contracts, base on projects. Once the project is ended, you need to find another job. Which means, you may have to move again.

4. Prepare to get no lifestyle, no girlfriend, no family. And again, it is because of the relocation issue. It's very hard to find friends or family to move around with you all the time. So, you have tobe single. (well, execpt your girlfriend willing to move with you, that's another case. But very rare, if you found one, don't let her go)

5. are you willing to work on something you hate? Everyone hates the producer. Yes, is the producer, not your boss (unless your boss is the producer) Producer doesn't know anything about art, they think we push a button will have everything works out as he wants. They give out nonsense comments. They "always" destroy good works. Same thing with the clients.

HapZungLam, I think you're a little too negative.... Except for the relocation part, the things you said pretty much happen in every fields. You would have to work with stupid boss/producer/manager in every business. The thing we all need to learn is how to deal with them and still be able to get the job done well. That's an work of art itself, but has nothing to do with working with CG.

You have to know there are alot of people doing job they hate while dealing with stupid boss/producer/manager... I'm consider myself lucky because I'm doing what I like to do.

I am glad that you understand. I'm all fine with that. I've learned how to deal with that after my first freelance job. Just that i've seen people in the field complain about this, that's the reason I post this up in advance.

I love my job, I am going to stay in the industry to the day I retire.

20 Years old is very young wo... Like I said take some short term art/design course before you jump into the 3d world la. You will have a better understand of what you want to do.

因為我只知道讀兩年系diploma, 讀第3年就系 high dip

佢話4年又長又貴 , 不如考個會計牌 =.=....

系阿媽都想d 仔有份穩穩定定的工作! 而佢地認為穩定的工作來來去去咪文員呀?會計呀?佢地點知cg系咩呀! 當年我讀design阿嗎都唔贊成, 佢覺得design系搵唔到食的藝術....haha!!!
講真現在一定比以前難搵工d...而且冇一個人一生只做一個行頭,人要不斷學習才可容入不同的范疇, 而你想清楚自己專長在那裡, 才選擇行業啦!!
唔好覺得cg好玩就想入, 因為cg 唔系玩的, 是比人玩的....

04年會考畢業,2年工作經驗(一年維修手提一年ＴＡ）
兩份工之間用左半年去讀ＩＴＡＴ，
先開始接觸ＭＡＹＡ．．．
而巖巖讀完個毅進（３Ｄ動畫－ＭＡＹＡ），
（為左個會考５科合格既資格）
都唔知做咩好．．．
我同你一樣，
父母都唔支持下我！！
日日吹我搵工．．．
但做咩工都話要有ＥＸＰ．．．
入都入唔到行，
又何來ＥＸＰ，
我都系想讀ＩＶＥ．．．
但又怕讀完無人要，
咁４年時間就白費啦～～
