我突然覺得好亂…

哩個thread可能好耐之前有人討論過，不過我都想問…

電腦、科研等行業，系要用腦搵食，尤其cg哩一行。正常情況下你識得多，賺得就會多，競爭力都會高d。咁我好多時就會諗，大家都力爭上游，如果你答得人太多問題或者分享得太多(仲要系你分，人地享)，咁你咪蝕底囉？不過，我整3d graphic既時候，一邊唔想教人，但系我一邊又系網上既tutorial度同forum度學到好多野…我話“蝕底”…好似背叛良心喎…

但系時勢唔好，多一個人入行就要同多一個人爭，商業社會上，又真系會有威脅個喎…正如microsoft死人都唔開放源程式碼同埋kfc點都唔公開醃雞秘方一樣。

咁我應該點取捨呢？我好驚大家將心得和盤托出之後，有一日會好似徒弟打羸師父咁，“我一路教識你好多technique，你就做份artwork出黎搶左我份工”

但系你又會話得你識做，咁唔會有進步，話唔埋你果d獨家心得會失傳，到時仲得不償失…

我又諗…唔…但系而家同教書唔同喎，人地識多d對你系有直接威脅嘛，而且有d side-factor要顧慮，好似香港人好鍾意抄野同跟風，小則幼稚園勞作堂上抄作品，大則有“科網股”咁…如果人地要摸清楚一套software至出product，而我唔駛，咁我咪可以輕松坐定定食頭啖湯囉？

之不過……

如果你給人的東西能讓你蝕底的話，說真的，你本來就擁有太少了。朋友，積極充實自己，令自己有可以慷慨的能力，這才是進步之道。CG這門知識，包羅萬象，空間大得你無法想象，你永遠也學不完，永遠也給不完。

我也知道，香港CG從業者普遍存有自私，不肯教人的弊病。奇怪的是，這些人不因為這樣做而變得有競爭力，反而日漸走下坡，越來越沒有“可以慷慨的能力”。可笑兼可悲。

Hum, good question. I did think about that back in the days. Until the day when i enter college.

I remember the first day our instructor told us "i don't want to see any competition here. I want everyone to share what have they discover. There is the fastest way to improve."

Maybe this is we are tranditional chinese, if you don't selfish, you will lose.

I have entered different forum, some are hosted by chinese, some are hosted by other rase. The different is here. Host by un-chinese, ppl will help without hiding. Any kind of question you posted. They will try the best to help you. I've been there for awhile, i posted many questions there. And they really did give me a great hand. After that, whenever ppl post a question and if i am able to answer. I feel proud of myself that i can help. I never think that they will get better than me anymore.

Compare to those (not this one, this forum is very differnt) chinese forum. For example, a guy ask "How do i install maya?" Then the reply will be "why dont you give me a copy of Maya, after i figure it out, i will teach you." This is very unfriendly and selfish reply. If you don't know, i rather you not post anything.

Think about this way. When you are able to help, basically you are strong then the one who ask already. You give them advice, (just advice)they will not able to get as great as you are. And always you are 1 step ahead of them. so, don't worry to help.

When I shared my exp to the public, I don't even think about losing something because the one who asked the question still need some time to digest and keep up the pace and sense, by the time they achieved that point, I'm at another point ahead already, when there is a comparison, there you will find improvement!

I have exp. at school.

I always share my Maya exp. to my classmates, when people have problem, if they go and ask me. I will try my best to share with them.

in this process, you will learn something you don't know before. Another good thing is, when I have problems. I ask my classmate. No one will not give me a hand.

well, if they really willing to learn, i don't mind. but if they are not going to put effort into it: after asking you, they won't try it. those ppl, i won't waste my time on him. other than that. i will for sure.
