Error Max 4 on Chinese Windows2000

Dear all CG enthusiast,

Have u ever used Max 4 on Chinese(taiwan) Windows 2000?? Do you realize any problem??

When using Max 4 on Chinese Windows 2000, I found that many words in the command panels are LOST!! For example, 'ignore backfaces' becomes 'ignore'!!!

Does anybody know how to tackle it?? I don't want to reinstall my OS.

I did a research for a whole day, and at last solve the problem!!!!

why no one knows reply to this question?????

I think most of win 2000 users have the same problem, but no one talk about it

When you found the text to big that the whole message can't be shown completely, try the following method. You can regedit the window code by running regedit and change the value of FONTS.FON to vgasys.fon in HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\fonts, then restart the computer, by doing so the font would be shown better!

Windows 2000 have a CD called "Mutli-Language Kit". You need buy this in separate. After install this program, you can choose to use English interface instead of Chinese interface. Of course, you can switch between these langauge at any time.

I think this can help you to slove the problem you got. This is one of solution.

I've heard that bundled Win2000 was not upgradable!

This is not upgrade. This program is add-on for Windows 2000 that produce by Microsoft itself. The program use to enable Windows to allow use different language for interface for different people share to use same computer. Very nice program.

I don't very know what is bundle? Is that means OEM? Actually, OEM is same as retail version but just half cost. All program and function is same but use different kind of serial no. So, I don't think this have problem on it.
