要在香港做CG好難搵工; - 人工好低....大家點睇;

Yes, very hard indeed. The market is so dead, tons of lay-off. People from all over the world wants to get a job in US, but there's almost no jobs out there... I would say every single 3d job has almost 400 people apply, that's how bad it is.

無奈... 不過不知香港最近情況如何, 我的老師建議我們的同學組成一組人, 之後再外面找客戶, 來幫他們做設計的工作, 可以是網頁制作, 廣告制作, 電影短片等, 當然會是有他的困難之處, 不過如果樂觀點看, 如果這種形不局限於香港本地, 可以為外國其他客戶服務的話, 也不失為一種生意. 既然香港沒有發展機會, 向海外發展是必然的事, 我個人覺得如果在中國發展CG 技術, 應該會好一點~

中國現在cg發展很快, 我是澳門人, 前幾天看新聞說國內嚴重欠缺動畫人才, 北上找工不難, 但人工不會太高. 你說的cg生意也有睇頭!

最重要的是思維,不是技術啊!
雖然技術都重要,但思維是沒有人取代的,地位會穩d...

Not really that much. In US, US$4500 is just a regular. Senior animators start from US$6500. Animation Superviors get more than $100,000 a year. Well, let me put it this way, before the econ. slowdown, even a web designer got $50,000 a year. So $4500 is not much, of course sometime we will get some freelance too.

Hmmm....well, when I work working in Canada as a Set Lead Modeller. I only have CA$3000 a month, and 1/3 of it goes to the damn government....only$2000......I know that the living standard is much higher in NY, but still....

well, it's still better than hong kong at least you have you own life!

冇錯呀，滿足感鴉嘛，班衰人就系識得捉住衣個弱點，
用小小錢就駛死人，十幾年前o既薪金水平，衣家三千蚊用泥食飯搭車之後重淨得幾多 ?想買多幾本參試書，報個 course 讀下，都唔得呀...捱到病左果陣就慘喇，睇醫生都唔知夠唔夠錢....可恥呀！

You're so right! Satisfication is too subjective, and trust me, it fades away from time to time, and it'is not an excuse to pay less.

I found that most CG artist in HK are too easy-going, they are too nice to their employer. Some poeple never refuse those damn employers' request.....after working in this field for some years, I now started refusing those request, OT 5 days a week? No way! You pay me $10000 and I give you $10000 of service! Don't tell me that's the company cannot make any profit, that's your problem, don't pass it on us!

CG is not like working in a factory, it's time consuming, and labour and talent extensive. You won't get anything good if you run it as a factory. How come those CG house owners never realize this point?

Guys, be tough and learn how to say no, we have been too nice to our employer for so long! I know it seems like crazy, but sometimes e should fight back!

為什麼人工會比一些文員還要低........

妙想:
其實,人工咁低會唔會同我們有關呢?
我們對cg有興趣-->雇主壓低人工
事實上...好多的快餐店都有$20 一個鍾,每日八個鍾,計落條數...
每月都有$3840 !

既然系咁,我們怎麼不做快餐店?
cg 咪當系興趣咁玩,或者去bid-job.com 做下part time囉!
我地個個都走哂,咪叫d老板自己做埋佢囉!
佢唔夠人用,自然會請人,我地就可以升回合理的人工...
我記得班朋友說過:demand-->supply
佢有咁既須求,我地唔supply,只有兩個可能:
一)他們找外援,我地繼續做快餐店
二)他們加人工,讓人工達至合理水平

收佢$1000就比翻$1000 的貨佢,呢句我勁鍾意!
不過誰來訂,什麼貨才值$1000 ,什麼貨值$10000呢?

可惜....這一切只是我的妙想..... >.<
