About what Web Hosting should use

好想問問各位, 如果我自己想申請個web domain, 黎upload 自己既quicktime showreel 上去比人stream黎睇.
有冇邊間hosting 公司 or service 介紹呢? 因為我0巖0巖之前問左某間公司,
佢地公司系唔allow 用戶upload 自己既mp3, movie 等等既野..
只供你放自己既html / flash website 上去...
而我問佢: 咁我放自己既quicktime 入個website 度咪可以囉 ?
佢又話唔可以.........................

請問大家有冇什麼建議呢 ???

I have never heard of any of web hosting doesn't allow clients to upload Quicktime movie, except you need to stream your QuickTime movie, because it requires QuickTime Streaming Server.
There are not much web hosting support it.
Probably they misunderstood your need.

yes~~ 我正正系希望可以好似andrew lee 你那個一樣~可以stream到條quicktime portfolio比人睇. 而且我見你個server都好快, 我一click條link,呢animation就好smooth咁播到尾, 請問你個server 系幾錢個只呢??

而你系唔系真系好似Joshua 咁講, 需要個quicktime streaming server呢?

btw ( 那hosting 公司的人的而且確話因為copyright既原因, 話唔會allow我upload 任何mp3 / movie, 我聽到都覺得莫名其妙 )

mine one is not 'streaming' quicktime movie, just a normal one. If you want to do something like mine one, all webhost support it, unless you request a 'streaming' movie, that is another thing, and i dont see the point why you should show your movie as a streaming version.

if the quicktime movie was created by you, there is not copyright problem ga bor.

streaming server 系做類似網上電視台咁, 一個 server 同時 handle 數以千計既觀眾, 將流量平均分比所有 clients, 唔會比某 d client 搶哂 bandwidth.

自己 website 用普通野得架喇, 不過你要小心自己個 web 既流量會唔會因為條 movie 谷爆左. 你又要問下 web hosting company 如果 over 左系 stop 個 web 定即刻 charge 你
