I heard that hk is really hard to get a job.....

how is the interior design industry nowadays?

will they need some people who are non experience?
how much will they paid for it?

do think is that possible for some people who study multimedia but want to do some interior design related job?

and how much for a junior designer (Interior design)?


what skill they required? I know MAx , lightwave...but I don't know how to use CAD. is that possible to be a junior designer?

I know these years, interior design is very hard to "find eat" if u know what I mean, b4 97 is very high paid ga. but acyually in hk, all the job are low paid la, also hard to find.
I found this job one day. and they employed me suddenly....I didn't have any idea what was going on really.
my workmate says junior interior designer only get 6k jar.b4 is better ge... now, not anymore la.
To be an interior design really need to know many things. is not a big problem that u don't no the job, just depends the company u go is nice or not. they will train u or not.
I m doing exhibition design now. the paid is exceptable.
basicly u need to know max, autocad, and Illustrator la.
becoz u need to build models, floorplan in atuocad...some company use Illustrator or coraldraw to do the colurful floorplan and elevation.
many things need to learn.
the basic idea what the design format..etc la....

so hard ga..
but do exhibition.. I can still use maya, so is ok la.
as u no, b4 I was an animator... don't want to forget the skill I have in maya, so, to find a job that relate to it is ok gei.

I know you are an animator....but before what did u study ?

well, b4 I work. I study industrial design in TC, then in the half way thought the second year, I quited becoz I didn't found it help me.
then I work in a company about 2 weeks. is about graphic design...
then found an animator job.and worked for them for almost 1 yr and 8 months, then find job... 4 months later....found this exhibition design . and I have been working in here for 4 months la.
when i was in that animation company, I know nothing about maya, but they train me.
maybe I m a little lucky gei~

I don't know what I can do after I graduate.......I always feels my skill is not up to standard.....

昨天面試後(都幾多人), 她們打過來說下星期一上班, 去 texture 個組做.
和一個friend講了後, 他立即叫我三思, 他在那裡做過...
他建議我再send 多d profile 去其他公司試試,
如果其他公司冇回應, 我就會去imgai, 我年紀又唔算大,(唔算 )
我想學多d自己有興趣既野, 我就唔系有錢嫁喇,
不過有份幾穩定既 freelance 做下幫補都算 ok 既,
不過可能只可以比好少甚至比唔到居企羅...

我剛辭職那間公司只有我一個做 3D , 2D d 圖,
有乜唔明最多打比 d friend 或者自己搵書...

recently a lot of people talking about imagi in this forum (some stupid argument between form 5 and uni graduate..) nevermind forget it la....is that difficult to get in this company? what should I need to prepare?
haha...how old are u anyway? in your opinion , do u think 23 is too old to get into this company?


can u choose which department that u willing to go in this company? I prefer lighting and modelling.......

i mean I can only share model file woth workmate.
but each of us need to handle the hold project ourselves ga.
need do prespetive view, and also presentation, including floorplan, elevation and put all them in border...
no one help us ga.

or maybe if u a 18 yrs old, no experience, then go ahead.
but really, go to imagi to get experiene doesn't mean when u leave the comapny, will find the same job....

mogelpoo我已經22歲(未婚 ), 之前讀過三年 graphic design diploma,
經驗就只做過 graphic designer 和 d exhibition, Interior 既效果圖, 動畫就未做過, 我只想試試入這行, 試下自已既能力.
我系個間室設公司都系做 3d prepestive view , floorplan... 同你差不多,
不過你有幾個同事一齊做, 起碼可以大家一齊討論問題.

I study Multimedia....haha...I didn't learn that much stuff, I really afraid I can 't get a job....

I saw your car, pretty good ....I show you my one later, do u have email or icq ? how long did u learn MAX? I start to learn max this month......quit hard to use ...may be I use lightwave before, so I don't feel comfortable with it...

I' m totally agree with you, there have not that much book which are teaching lighting....really bad.....lighting and texture can make some simple stuff look much better....^_^

嫁車我用 rhino 既 nurbs 起 model, 個時跟書系 3ds max 用 nurbs 整簡直系痛苦既回憶...
之後系 3ds max 用 finalrender render.

我未用過 lightwave, 你覺得兩只軟件有乜唔同 ? lightwave 比 3ds max 有什麼優點 ?

我只買過兩本專講燈光既書, 一本系 Jeremy Birn : Digital LIGHTING & RENDERING,
依本幾好, 比較容易明亦幾深入, 另一本叫 Arnold Gallardo : 3D Lighting : History, Concepts, and Techniques,
依本勁羅, 我睇完頭個兩part 已冇心機繼續... 好深.... 好悶.....
兩本都系旺角星際買既中譯本, Arnold Gallardo 個本要同佢訂先有只 CD.
有冇好書介紹, 不是電腦的亦可~
