Some negative thoughts on astro boy 2009:
- used too much electricity effect
- red/blue energy, when the peacemaker was dying, was overwelming.
- smoke and dust was flat, failed to blend into the enviroment
- bad bad bad Cantonese voice over
- sound was too loud
- story was a bit of everything, flat plot
- packed with action, but not intense
- overall rendering not believable
- rim light on astro's head was usually too strong
- Cora's design was generic
- astro facial was stiff
- reflections on ZOG is too "CG"
- grass was flickering in some shots

well, if u have to make a list, i think u could fill up the whole page. I know we shouldn't expect too much from them but there are a few things they really need to do better for their next project. First of all, the overall render as u mentioned. I hate to say this but seriously my mates at college could do better than that. And I am not kidding...........Next, the design of the female character. I mean.......I don't mind female characters but that one in Astro Boy is the reason why I still haven't watched the movie. And please, if they can't handle hair, don't bother to have a female character with a "wig" on her head.

I hate this picture. Why did they use an over exposed frame with such unpleasant sky color for the movie promotion? Simply unwise. See astro's T-shirt, looks like it intersected with his pants to me....Who made this bad choice?

i don't think it's the time to point the finger..........seriously the whole team should take the blame. But now, i guess the most important thing is to figure out how to do better for Gatchaman. Again, spend the money wisely! US$65M for this kind of quality.......where the hell did all the money go?!

I certainly hope Imagi can overcome the loss.........after all they are the most representative animation studio in HK. Nobody would like to see the end of it. So........Good Luck Imagi!
