Spielberg has sharp market instinct, and this film isn't much more than a calculated escapist entertainment:
做曬所有父母眼中最高尚/穩陣的職業,周游列國,自己印錢/文憑,法律冇你符,坐完監仲靚仔,仲有...叫雞唔使俾錢,再加上一句"inspired" by real events,令人以為可以從戲裡頭學到過這種生活的一技半巧。
呵呵,唔怪之場場爆滿。在這經濟低迷的時候的確是需要這種精神調劑的。制片人最後還透過Tom Hanks之口幽了觀眾一默"People have to live in dreams (or lies, can't remember)"。
BTW since you guys admire the title sequence, you should check out the works of Saul Bass. I think this film's opening is a tribute to him. Bass designed some of the most striking opening sequences ever, including the openings in Vertigo and the original Psycho.
